Both autotransfusion systems provide a simple and economical disposable system for blood reinfusion. They provide alternatives to the use of banked autologous blood for orthopaedic procedures, including preoperative autologous donation. The systems use Hemovac technology for low, gentle suction that helps reduce the risk of hemolysis.
